European Vocational Skills Week 2019 is here! Between October 14-18, you will be able to take part in many interesting events dedicated to vocational education. And voting is still going on for the 2019 VET Excellence Awards.

The main aim of this initiative organised by the European Commission is to promote and improve the perception of vocational education and training in Europe. This year, 45 countries are participating in the Week, over 1000 different events are being held, many of which are also taking place in Poland. Among them are conferences, lectures, and meetings with employers. Numerous events have been organised by schools, which are inviting people to open days, meetings and presenting their activities.

In addition, voting is still in progress until October 15 for the VET Excellence Awards in the following categories:

  • Companies and Learners
  • Vet Innovators
  • European Funding for Excellence
  • European Agency Award (the Cedefop photo competition; ETF award for good practice in developing entrepreneurship as a key competence)

You can vote for projects submitted by institutions from Poland in the European Funding for Excellence category:

  • MENTEE - Mentoring, Networking and Training for European Entrepreneurs
  • TIME - Train Intercultural Mediators for a Multicultural Europe.

Votes can be cast until October 15th via the 2019 VET Excellence Awards website.

The award ceremony will take place in Helsinki, where this year's key events of European Vocational Skills Week are taking place.
