The European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training – Cedefop – invites you to submit an entry to the 2018 #CedefopPhotoAward contest on promoting excellence in vocational education and training. The deadline for sending an entry is July 15, 2018.
About the contest
The contest is open only to teams of vocational education and training (VET) learners from the European Union, Norway and Iceland.
Its aim is to highlight the significance of VET for learners and to present the daily experiences encountered in the learning process.
Your team of no more than four members should produce an original story of 3 to 5 photos together with a short description of up to 100 words. Individual entries will not be accepted.
The story should be based on your experiences in vocational education and training. It could be about a project that you made, a study visit abroad, or about how VET has impacted your professional career.
The deadline for submitting an entry is July 15, 2018. The list of winners will be announced no later than by the end of September 2018.
Awards
First and second place prizes will be a trip to Vienna for the members of the two winning teams and their teacher/guardian. During the trip, the winners will participate in a gala dinner to be held during European vocational skills week (November 8-9). Third prize is a trip to Thessaloniki and participation in the opening of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival (November 1). The awarded photo stories and the winners will be showcased at these events.
Cedefop and the European Commission will cover all travelling and accommodation expenses for the winners and their teachers/guardians for their participation in these events.
