On May 16, the Minister of National Education signed the regulations on the core curricula of vocational education occupations and additional professional skills in selected vocational occupations.

The regulations contain the core curricula for 215 occupations in 32 sectors included in the classification of vocational occupations, as well as additional skills in selected occupations and sets of learning objectives and teaching content. The core curricula were developed in a new structure - they determine the goals and effects of the learning outcomes and criteria for their assessment.

The core curricula will be in force as of the 2019/2020 school year in the first stage sectoral schools, post-secondary schools, the current four-year vocational upper secondary schools and the five-year vocational upper secondary schools. As of the 2020/2021 school year, the curricula will also apply to the second stage sectoral schools.
