The contest aimed at promoting vocational education and training, organized by the Polish ReferNet Team, was held under the auspices of the European Vocational Skills Week. Students were asked to make a short video of maximum 3 minutes on one of the following topics: “My occupation in the global job market” or “Vocational school - I like it!”.
The winners are:
- Marcin Szreder for Moja zajawka (My passion) - a dynamic and witty look at one person’s search for their vocation in life. Szreder won first prize not only for the story, but also for his ease and imagination in editing the film. He attends the Complex of Vocational and General Education Schools in Kartuzy.
- Jakub Półgęska, Karol Łaszanowski and Cezary Wasia for Potęga informacji (The Power of Information), which placed second. These students from the Vocational Upper Secondary School of Electronics No. 3 in Warsaw were lauded for their unique approach in presenting the IT profession, as well as for the well-thought-out and well-arranged story line.
- Damian Tomaszewski, Daniel Gaszczyk, Bartosz Bugajak, Łukasz Chorbiński and Juliusz Sochacki won third place for Codzienność w szkole zawodowej (Daily Life in a Vocational School), an attractive presentation of a typical day at vocational school. These students are from the Post-Lower Secondary School No. 2 in Gniezno.
- Emilia Bereszyńska, Maciej Błasik, Tadeusz Czarnecki, Klaudia Dłużewicz, Monika Kordzińska, Kamil Markwat, Weronika Wiktor, Jakub Sierański, and Krzysztof Welik, 3rd year students of the First Stage Special Sectoral School of Special Schools Complex No. 102 in Poznań, received honorable mention for Pracownik Pomocniczy Obsługi Hotelowej – wybieram mądrze (Auxiliary Hotel Service Worker – Making a Wise Choice) an enthusiastic and committed film on the advantages of entering the hotel services professions.
Students were awarded at a Gala Ceremony held at the Ministry of National Education on November 28, 2017.
