We encourage readers to explore Directions for the development of vocational education and training. Volume IV, a new collection of texts prepared by the National Team of Experts for Vocational Education and Training.
The publication addresses a range of timely and relevant issues related to the development of vocational education and training in Poland. The volume includes contributions on critical thinking in VET in the era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, the role of examiners in vocational examinations, the career paths of graduates of stage I sectoral vocational schools, adult lifelong learning, postgraduate education within the higher education system and the Integrated Qualifications System, as well as the competences expected by employers.
The articles show that the further development of VET requires not only stronger transversal competences, but also high-quality validation and examination processes, better support for graduates entering the labour market, and a more open approach to adult learning. They also highlight the importance of critical thinking, the benefits of dual learning pathways, and the growing role of social and methodological competences for employability.
