A public consultation that allows stakeholders to have their views heard about the European qualifications framework (EQF) is underway until 22 March. It is an initiative to collect information about its implementation and identify possible improvements.
The European Commission aims at gathering views and opinions from learners, workers, employers as well as stakeholders at EU and national level, including from education and training, employment and civil society.
The EQF is a tool to promote transparency and comparability of qualifications depicting what people know, understand and are able to do (learning outcomes), thus giving the appropriate value to learning and supporting work and learning mobility.
The consultation is part of the evaluation of the implementation of the 2017 Council Recommendation on the European Qualifications Framework in the 2017-2022 period.
