The Polish Committee for Standardisation (PKN) has announced the launch of the 14th edition of the nationwide competition "Standardisation and Me". This year's slogan, "Active with Standards", focuses on the role of standards in the world of sport and recreation. The initiative is aimed at secondary school students and teachers.

This year's edition aims to make young people aware that specific standards and technical norms are behind the safety, quality of sports equipment and the principles of fair play. From ball sizes and protective helmet strength to pitch surface parameters, standards ensure that competition is safe and comparable around the world.

 

Competition categories:

•  Students: written work, poster created using computer or other techniques, film.
•  Teachers: lesson plan on standardisation and its role in the context of the application of standards in sport and recreation.

 

Prizes and deadlines

Attractive prizes in the form of gift vouchers for electronics stores await the winners.

Deadline for submissions: 13 March 2026.

Announcement of results: April 2026.
