In December 2021, Cedefop published a briefing note, “A fresh look at guidance practitioner professionalism”, devoted to modernizing career guidance systems and services in different countries in response to accelerating labour market digitization and worker reskilling.

Among others, it outlines the key competences, qualification standards and professional development of guidance practitioners. Particular attention is paid to the need to improve their digital skills.
