On 26 May 2026, a conference entitled ‘Education - Integration - Well-being: Supporting pupils with a migrant or refugee background’ will take place. This is not only a summary of several years of activities within the “Accessible School for All” project, but also a space for joint reflection on effective educational and psychological support.

The conference programme comprises three thematic blocks, which together provide a comprehensive picture of the challenges and solutions in working with students with migration and refugee backgrounds:

  1. Education – supporting educational wellbeing
  2. Integration – supporting social wellbeing
  3. Wellbeing – supporting emotional wellbeing

The introductory part of the conference will feature presentations by researchers from the IBE PIB. Dr Beata Papuda-Dolińska will present a systemic approach to the integration and wellbeing of pupils with refugee backgrounds in the UNICEF ASA project – from presence to belonging. Dr Magdalena Boczkowska will present the findings from the report “School Well-being in Diverse Classrooms”, demonstrating how research findings translate into effective implementation measures.
