Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) has released a new report titled “Circular Economy in V4 Countries”. It looks at how the circular economy is being introduced in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.

The report compares key circular economy indicators, such as waste generation and treatment, resource efficiency, and the material circularity rate. It supports sustainable development goals and the EU’s move towards a low-emission, resource-efficient economy.

The findings show that all V4 countries face similar challenges in reducing waste and boosting recycling. Poland has a relatively low but steadily rising circularity rate, which suggests more effort is needed in this area.
