On 2 February 2026, the forecast of the demand for employees in VET occupations in the national and regional labour market for 2026 was published (by official notice). The document supports planning of VET provision and related funding arrangements.

At national level, 34 occupations of particular importance for the country’s development were identified. In 2026, real estate management technician was included for the first time.

The regional part classifies occupations by anticipated demand (particularly significant/significant/moderate) across regions and includes all occupations from the national list plus additional regional specialisations.

The forecast has been prepared annually since 2019, using public statistics, Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) data and the Education Information System, alongside analyses by the Educational Research Institute and input from sector skills councils.
